“Schemer” is by Dreamfinder, a U.S. National and World Champion and the sire of
U.S. National, Canadian National, and World Champions, as well as ApHC Versatility
Champions. Dreamfinder was inducted into the Appaloosa Hall of Fame in 1996.
Dream Scheme's dam is Pretty Incredible who has a ROM in halter and has produced
an ApHC Champion and a Canadian National Champion. She is by Alias Smith and
Jones, a successful race horse and a supreme champion sire.
Schemer has been Hi Point and Reserve Hi Point Club Champion many times. He was
Reserve Champion Superhorse in
Ontario
, and received the prestigious Award of Outstanding Member of the Breed. He was
chosen to represent
Canada
and the Appaloosa breed in Heritage costume at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair
in
Toronto, Canada
to crowds of thousands. He was one of the first Dreamfinder sons to become a National
Champion in three disciplines. Schemer is a producer of Futurity Halter and Performance
champions, ROM earners, and producer of the Canadian National Champion Hunter in
Hand Gelding ''Schemin Dreamin''. His get are following in their sires footsteps
by winning at Halter and Hunter in Hand, and then going on to perform in all disciplines
later. He has several foals competing on both sides of the border on National and
World levels. His son ''Schemin Lee Andrew'' is currently listed on the US Top Ten
in Aged Stallions and FPD Stallions, and went top ten at the 2003 World Show in
Two year old Stallions.
Ben and I purchased Schemer from Brenda Money and Eric Lee of
Appy Valley Acres
in
Barrie, Ontario Canada
in 2003. It was an easy decision to
buy Schemer given his show record and his foals show records, but buying a mature
stallion is always a toughie, especially when they are more than
1000 miles
away
and you cannot “meet” them in the flesh to see if they are as “dog gentle” as advertised. Schemer came as promised, and I have
to say Eric and Brenda are the MOST honest people to deal with, and I recommend
you take a look at their “for sale” page.
They carry some of the best appaloosa bloodlines to be found in their herd, and
are always willing to help out with paperwork and get you the best deal
for shipping. Please see their website at:
